HA_Charity_Dinner.jpgMichelin-starred chefs Angela Hartnett, Phil Howard and Mark Kempson have helped to raise £12,500 for industry charity Hospitality Action (HA).

The chefs cooked at a special dinner hosted by HA at Brasserie Joël at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London last week. They cooked alongside the restaurant's head chef Walter Ishizuka.

The menu included mackerel with oysters, cockles and clams by Howard, chef patron of two-Michelin-starred restaurant the Square; hand-rolled farfalle with roasted partridge and toasted breadcrumbs by Angela Hartnett, chef proprietor of Murano; and warm muscovado financiers with chestnut cream, brown butter and roast pear by Mark Kempson, head chef at Kitchen W8.

Hartnett said: "Christmas is an important time of year for the hospitality industry, but also a time when many are working harder than ever to make other people's Christmas celebrations special. I am delighted to lend my support to Hospitality Action and I would encourage others to do the same this festive season."
Penny Moore, chief executive of Hospitality Action, says: "The £12,500 raised will help provide an essential lifeline to those who find themselves in crisis this Christmas. Our heart-filled thanks goes to each of the Chefs involved and to all those at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London for making the event such a success".
