And we're off! Well, almost. Tonight sees the start of the new series of Great British Menu. As we know, the theme for the 2012 run is, well... 2012.
So, the brief.
According to the Beeb, the chefs need to capture the Olympic spirit with contemporary British cooking that is "breathtaking" and "awe-inspiring".
With that in mind, the calibre of competing chef is pretty darn high, and rightly so.
Two-Michelin starred Alan Murchison (L'Ortolan) returns to take on newcomers Colin Buchan (Gordon Ramsay's York and Albany) and Mark Greenaway (three AA rosettes, No12 Picardy Place) in the battle for the banquet.
Tonight we'll see duck terrine and pineapple go up against braised pork cheek with sea buckthorn and hot apple jelly, while smoked pigeon breast and heart will also be vying for top marks.
And it will be up to Jeremy Lee (Quo Vadis) to give out the scores.
Rather than rate which chef you think will come out on top tonight, how about you vote for the dish you think sounds the most appetising instead...
