Ultimate domestic godess Nigella Lawson is going stateside for her next television project as she joins outspoken chef Anthony Bourdain on a new US cooking competition.
THE ABC show Taste will feature professional chefs pitted against amateur cooks as they all clamour to produce the 'best tasting dish'.
Oh and they're referred to as 'kitchenistas', because obviously the word 'contestants' is just so passe.
Lawson and Bourdain, along with chef/author Ludo Lefebvre and restaurateur Brian Malarkey, will each coach a team of four cooks as they go through a series of team and individual challenges, and elimination rounds.
The mentors will then go into judge mode when they blind taste the competitors' dishes with apparently no knowledge of who cooked it, how it was prepared or indeed what they're eating.
Given their experience with food, I'd like to think they'll be able to work the last bit out.
The series debuts on ABC on 22 January.
